Project description

Name of the project “Together to learn EU history and to build our EU history”

The idea of ​​the project is to explore the process of EU enlargement by focusing on how EU accession has affected to each Member State. In addition, we will examine the EU as a whole and its policies among local communities. The project will provide information campaigns and debates to explain the opportunities, benefits and obligations stemming from EU membership, volunteering, non-formal education and active citizenship. There will be debates on the benefits of EU membership against Eurosceptic arguments.

<span style="color: #000000"><span lang="BG" style="margin: 0px;font-family: 'Cambria','serif';font-size: 12pt">Foundation “Phoenix – 21 century” is a</span><span lang="EN-US" style="margin: 0px;font-family: 'Cambria','serif';font-size: 12pt">n</span><span lang="BG" style="margin: 0px;font-family: 'Cambria','serif';font-size: 12pt"> NGO with the purpose of developing, implementing and managing  European projects and providing consultations in the following fields:</span> <span lang="BG" style="margin: 0px;font-family: 'Cambria','serif';font-size: 12pt">Development, implementation and management of local, regional and international projects. The Phoenix team develops and manages </span><span lang="EN-US" style="margin: 0px;font-family: 'Cambria','serif';font-size: 12pt">more than 10 </span><span lang="BG" style="margin: 0px;font-family: 'Cambria','serif';font-size: 12pt">projects in various fields: education and training, tourism, culture, environment, agriculture business, etc. Phoenix works in close cooperation with organizations from Bulgaria and Europe: SMEs, municipalities, non-government and non-profit organizations. </span></span>

Since august 2011 till 2013, “Phoenix – 21 century” has implemented <strong>“MILLA- Migrant Language Learning at the Work”</strong> project, financed by sectoral programme “Grundtvig” of Programme Lifelong Learning.

Since December 2011 till January 2014, “Phoenix – 21 century” has implemented project <strong>"Youths for European Future for Vidin",</strong> financed under National center “European Youth Programmes &amp; Initiatives” of Bulgarian Ministry of Education, Youth &amp; Science. The idea of the project is establishment of Youth information and consultancy center in city of Vidin. The main objective of this project is to create a sustainable mechanism to provide affordable and quality information, consultancy and training services for young people in Vidin.

Since December 2013 till December 2014, “Phoenix – 21 century” has implemented project <strong>"Preserve for us, Youth teaches Adults”, </strong>Ref.  No 2007CB16IPO006-2011-2-76, financed under second call Bulgaria – Serbia IPA Cross-border Programme. The project aims to implement a substantial joint public awarenees campaign in the districts Bor (cities Bor, Kladovo, Majdanpek, Negotin, R.Serbia) &amp; Vidin (cities Vidin, Bregovo, Kula, Belogradchik, R. Bulgaria) for developing a nature-friendly behavior &amp; a protective attitude towards environment &amp; bio-diversity among adults &amp; adults communities population.

Since November 2013 till November 2014, “Phoenix – 21 century” has implemented project  <strong>“Overcoming the limitations of the border through friendly neighborly relations”,</strong> financed under second call Bulgaria – Serbia IPA Cross-border Programme. The general objectives of the project was establishing traditions and long-term cultural collaboration, between foundation “Phoenix – 21 century” - Vidin and the Timok Club, by directing joint efforts for development of a bilateral cultural exchange and using all elements of culture as universal tools for cross-border partnership and friendship.

Since february 2016 till August 2017, “Phoenix – 21 century” has implemented project <strong>“Plums for junk”, </strong>financed under INTERREG V-A Romania – Bulgaria Programme<strong> . </strong>The main objective of the project is to inform the population of the two border regions for flora and fauna in protected areas and engage people in concrete actions for environmental protection in cities and protected areas of Natura 2000.

Since september 2018 till february 2019, “Phoenix – 21 century” has implemented project <strong>“Friendly destinations for seniors +55”,</strong> financed under INTERREG V-A Romania – Bulgaria Programme<strong>.</strong> Project overall objective is to initiate development of tourism product designed for tourists aged 55+ in low season and set basis for promotion of such tourism product.
