Project description

  1. Increasing civic engagement among people with disabilities (PwDs) on the basis of self- advocacy – to encourage and promote active participation in public and social life.
  2. Conducting educational activities on the national level and raise the awareness of the equality of civil rights of people with disabilities in many areas of public life on the European level (based on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities).
  3. The exchange of experiences between the project partners and jointly develop a « Civil code of PwDs » – Guidelines for the European and national institutions in respecting the rights of PwDs and engage them in civic actions.

Each partner will be responsible for preparing and leading social campaign and educational activities in national level. We all will be responsible for dissemination of project results on European ground.

We are looking for organisations, which have great experience in self-advocacy, protection of rights of people with disabilities and helping them to fully participate in society.

Organisation presentation

FIRR activities are focused on the integration of people with disabilities in economic, social and civil life by trainings, workshops, individual support. We work both with adults and youth. We have several projects for young people with disabilities like Internships in public administration, employment projects, ICT and other basic skills trainings. One of the main of our activities is building strong, confident society, which have awareness of their rights and are able defend them.
