Project description

The project is focused to organize an interchange of good practices and recommendations among European cities about Local Governance Platforms participation approaches in small size and rural communities and linked with a range of key European policies of common interest for this kind of communities:

  1. employment and training,
  2. local development regeneration based in tourism, culture and environmental resources,
  3. constituency of accessible and healthy communities and
  4. intergenerational social dialogue.

Partners searched

We are looking for cities and towns and EU public bodies and non profit networks with proved experience in development of Local Governance Platforms, rural and urban cities (in the range of 10.000 to 50.000 inhabitants) and with interest in EU and local policies to be faced in the project: employment and training, local development regeneration based in tourism, culture and environmental resources, constituency of accessible and healthy communities, intergenerational social dialogue.

Organisation presentation

La Palma del Condado is a city of 10.600 inhabitants declared City declared of Cultural Interest in the category of Historic-Artistic by Spanish law and placed in Andalucía region, close to Doñana national park in South-West European Atlantic coast and among Spanish cities of Sevilla and Huelva.

La Palma del Condado municipality is strongly working in awareness of community in local social dialogue and participation in local development matters. With this purpose, its Local Development Agency is responsible for developing Local Platform of Multilevel Governance and manage the dialogue and participation of local community members in different topics: employment policies in the city, vocational training programs, tourism and culture projects, volunteer programs, etc.
